Estimate of the Situation

She said, "Welcome to the land of the living dead."
You could tell she was so broken-hearted.

She said, "Even the swap meets around here are getting pretty corrupt." - Bob Dylan

I meant to begin by writing that post-war America has seen some weird years, but how strange that phrase seems. Has there ever, really, been a post-war America? As long as I've been paying attention it's either been fighting one or several, or preparing for the next. And sometimes, like this time, doing it all simultaneously. But you know what I mean.

Think of 1947, the year of Aleister Crowley's death. The Paperclip Nazis were content to be working again. The father of American rocket science and the founder of Scientology were making magick in the Mojave desert in order to trigger apocalypse. Meanwhile, the modern UFO phenomenon exploded in the Western skies with the Kenneth Arnold sighting, Roswell (largely misinformation, but still significant for being misinformation), Maury Island and Tacoma, the latter two involving alleged retrieval of "saucer debris" by Fred Crisman and Guy Bannister respectively. Bannister of course is better known for his New Orleans' stewardship of Lee Harvey Oswald, while Crisman was one of the first persons called by Clay Shaw after hearing the news that he was a target of Jim Garrison's investigation, and was himself subpoenaed. (Crisman's "slag" from the Maury Island UFO was destroyed in a suspicious military plane crash that also killed two air force investigators. A Tacoma Times headline read "Sabotage Hinted in Crash of Army Bomber at Kelso.") Crisman was a parapolitical everyman, with curious links to UFO culture, spooks, the Mafia, the radical right and the Kennedy assassination cabal. The Michael Riconosciuto of his day, you could say, and the connections don't stop there: Riconosciuto's father Marshall was allegedly an ardent Nazi supporter and a Tacoma business associate of Crisman's, and Michael claims to have heard a lot of stories from Fred.

The National Security Act was signed into law July 26, 1947, creating the CIA, the NSA, the Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Less than two years later the first Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal, took a great fall from the 16th floor of Bethesda Naval Hospital. "There is something I would like to talk to you about," Air Force Secretary Stuart Symington told him following the March 28 ceremony in which Forrestal formally stepped down. They shared a private ride back to the Pentagon. As Richard Dolan writes in UFOs and the National Security State, "what Symington said is not known, but Forrestal emerged from the ride deeply upset, even traumatized, upon arrival at his office.... When someone entered Forrestal's office several hours later, the former Secretary of Defense did not notice. Instead, he sat rigidly at his desk, staring at the bare wall, incoherent, repeating the sentence, 'you are a loyal fellow,' for several hours."

The end of 1947 saw the air force establish Project Sign. Its purpose was to "collect, collate, evaluate, and distribute to interested government agencies and contractors all information concerning sightings and phenomena in the atmosphere which can be construed to be of concern to the national security." The following year, members of Project Sign issued an "Estimate of the Situation" which has never been made public and reputedly "all but a few" copies were destroyed. Officially, the report never existed, though Air Force Major Dewey Fournet swore an affidavit in the late 1950s that he had read it and Captain Edward Ruppelt of the later Project Blue Book claimed to have seen an original copy. The estimate, according to Dolan, was that "aliens were making a full-scale observation of the Earth, but that attack did not seem imminent."It was rejected by Air Force Chief of Staff General Hoyt Vandenberg who, according to Ruppelt, said "it would cause a stampede." Shortly thereafter, policy changes at the air force removed UFOs as a subject which would be entertained seriously in public.

Nazis, black magick, UFOs, mysterious deaths and "national security." It could be any year in modern America, but 1947 appears a Rubicon of weirdness. There were strange and inhuman things in the skies, but there was also a very human manipulation of data and perception afoot, conducted by Nazi sympathizers networking with the like-minded in military intelligence. Considering the eruption of something else into our reality, and its quick cover-up and exploitation, it's almost as though they found each other.

Lately, every year has been a weird one, but just think of 2005. The bald prostitute in the press room who, even though he's likely not Johnny Gosch, reminded enough people of protected paedophile rings and their proximity to power that Gosch's name was again in the news. The London bombings, seemingly synchronized again with simulations. The possible manipulation of Katrina, the deliberate murder of New Orleans and the abduction of its children. The British Special Forces in Arab garb, opening fire on a Basra police station, and their subsequent break-out by British tanks. Ponchatoula, the murder of Pamela Vitale, the case of Richard Hamlin and more demonstrated that Satanic Ritual Abuse is not a debunked artifact of the '80s, however much the paedophile advocates of the False Memory Foundation would have you think.

These are all things that really happened; they left a kind of footprint in the real world. But for the most part their traces go unexamined, and the connections and linkages they suggest are unpursued. It can be in their faces, and most people still can't see it, and it's not entirely because they'd rather not.

Do you know why, and do you know what this is they can't see? It's the dark matter. It's the universe most people are blind to, but which explains the universe they inhabit. It's the black thread that holds the visible light like dew on a web. That's parapolitics. That's para-everything. It's the night vision goggles through which the rationalists and the self-identifying skeptics never peer. To them, the darkness is contentless void. But it isn't. And any meaningful estimate of the situation, 2006, needs to account for it.

As always your work is profound. It is really a pity that so few have eyes to see or ears to hear. Maybe that is the way it is supposed to be, I don't know. Your blogs have helped me keep my bearings in a world filled with sheep. It is nice to have your site as a beacon in the darkness.

Yeah.

I was born in 1947 and I do feel a strange sort of responsibility for the year.

Here's one thing to add to your list: In 1947, the Republicans took over Congress, for the first time since Hoover was president. Their hopes of immediately wiping out the New Deal were dashed when both Truman and the American public pushed back. Their one major success was putting through the Taft-Hartley Act in 1947, significantly limiting the power of labor unions. However, they were able to prevent Truman from carrying out the extension of the New Deal (the "Fair Deal") he'd been hoping for.

Truman also compromised with them in two significant ways as the trade-off for protecting his domestic agenda. One was to support a generally belligerent approach to the Soviet Union and the establishment of the national security state. The other was to permit the onset of what would come to be called McCarthyism. (See here for information on the commencement of HUAC hearings and loyalty oaths in 1947.)

Those events taken together set the stage for a covert fifty-year war of the right against the left. During the first 25 years or so, the radical left would be demonized and excluded from public discourse, while the working class in general was bought off with a mixture of consumerism and jingoism, to the point where even the union leaders forget they'd once hoped for real social change.

By the late 60's/early 70's, that policy was failing. The US was losing its postwar economic dominance in an otherwise devastated world. The Vietnam War made it clear that the country couldn't afford both guns and butter. The hippie/anti-war counterculture was strongly rejecting both consumerism and militarism, and the old "America, Love It or Leave It" mantras were no longer intimidating enough to keep the lid on.

So after a brief period of retooling around 1972-78, the right reemerged with a whole new campaign. Since the moderate left could no longer be controlled through consumer goods and propaganda, it would be systematically destroyed instead, starting with Reagan's crippling of the unions and proceeding to the current sabotage of the two-party system of bipartisan government.

At this point, the Republicans seem perfectly willing to jettison democracy entirely, while the mainstream Democrats hope for nothing better than a return to the status quo of c. 1955 (supporting both Social Security and "victory" in Iraq.)

I don't deny the reality of parapolitics -- but "as above, so below" means to me that for every weirdness Out There, there is a corresponding mundane weirdness which has gotten passed off as normal. The real benefit of parapolitics is that it opens our eyes to the bizarreness of what's always been right in front of us.

Dealing with parapolitics is like a monomythic journey in which the hero, beset by problems he can't readily solve, takes off into supernatural realms where he gains the knowledge/tools/allies that enable him to return and rescue the princess/defeat the invading army/overthrow the usurper/etc. The purpose of diving into the unknown is to come back out bearing treasure.

Jeff,

I was chatting with a friend about a week ago about your writings, but also, and not without discussion, your seemingly over-arching pessimism. Let me briefly explain.

It's not that I see the world through rosy colored glasses. Neither, would I describe myself as an optimist. The evil you describe is real. As an avid reader of your blog, I cannot disagree with very much of what you say.

The main question I have would be directed towards statements like these: It's the dark matter. It's the universe most people are blind to, but which explains the universe they inhabit. It's the black thread that holds the visible light like dew on a web. That's parapolitics. That's para-everything.

Namely, is it really that you see the power structure that surrounds us, the force of gravity no less a member, as inherently "evil"? I did not want to use that word, as it tends to pigeon-hole so quickly. However, it should be obvious what I mean. Perhaps I should just use the word "dark".

Or maybe I need to be a bit more clear on what I am saying... In my studies of the occult, and admittedly in my own personal picture of the world as well, there has always been a right-hand path to go along with your pervasive dark matter. Its effectiveness aside for the moment, this right-hand path was still there, a yin to the yang, a light to the dark, a diamond in the rough...

Going back to a recent Lovecraft-Necronomicon post, you said that William S Burroughs said that "with some knowledge of the black arts from prolonged residence in Morocco, I have been surprised and at first shocked to find real secrets of curses and spells revealed in paperback publications for all to see and use." Burroughs concludes with the thought that this is a good thing: public disclosure will keep the dark secrets from being monopolized by corporations and government agencies.

Is that all there is then? Dark people (and not all of them people) making use of dark matter, and then the rest, hopefully making use (or not) of this self-same dark matter?
Nowhere in this picture does there ever appear any type of "good". Unless of course we can refer to the victims in all this as the source of good, due simply to their lack of evil.

Obviously, my quesiton isn't so clear after all, but I hope that it's clear enough for you respond (that is if you feel it worthy a response).

Anyway thanks for the blog. please keep it up. happy new year!

I tend to agree with Jon (10:42 AM), although I don't accept the Manichaean dualism inherent in his opinion (and Jeff's writings in general).

There is an aspect of predation that permeates the universe, from the subatomic level through the macroscopic ecosphere, and likely through the noosphere (including the vampires that are the subject of this post). Whether an entity is "good" or "evil" depends on perspective. To cows and pigs, humans are unspeakably evil. To Iraqis and Iranians, Americans are evil. To humans, chi-hungry spirits are evil. It's all a matter of perspective.

On the other hand, there is also a "cooperative principle" that runs counter to the hierarchical principle upon which predation is based. On the atomic level, this takes the form of electron-sharing by separate atoms to form molecules. At the sociologic level this takes the form of families and tribes cooperating for survival. It stands to reason that this principle continues through the noosphere, and there are salvatory entities that are interested in assisting humanity (for reasons unknown to us).

In my occult investigations, I am coming to the conclusion that the "good" or "light" entities typically work silently. The reason is that they have little to gain by fancy displays of power, and much to lose by subtly reinforcing the tendency in the incarnate human to rely on senses and proof, which are always vulnerable to manipulation by more malevolent entities.

By the way, in my last post I seem to criticize Jeff's work as being characterized by Manichaean dualism. While I think this is true, and that this tendency creates an unnecessarily dark pessimism, in general I love his work and think that it is a great and valuable service.

Jon, Interesting, tough questions for Jeff. I thank you for those comments because they made me think. Here is my take on what Jeff is doing. I think he is simply making us aware of the "evil." In my experience people are generally good in nature and we tend to project that on the world around us. We know there is "bad" out there but perhaps we can't quantify it or put or arms around it or have enough time/mental faculties to understand the bigger picture where evil is concerned. This is where Jeff comes in. He does a brilliant job of looking at the "para-everything", sharing his findings and comments with us and thus broadening our understanding of what's going on. His blog's title is appropriate for what he is doing.

But, I think I might be speaking for Jeff here. Any comments from the blogmaster?

Feliz ano nuevo, by the way. A new year's kiss to your child, too.

Point taken... which is why I eat no pig and as little cow as I can get away with.

I would not ask Jeff to change anything in his writing (nor would I expect him to change even if I wished it). But I would ask Jeff merely to consider the possibility that he is being assisted in his good work by silent discarnate entities who choose not to distract him by making themselves conspicuous.

And that maybe... just maybe... we'll manage to get through this enormous test that humanity is facing.

In the words of Jason Godesky:
"Banking on miracles may not sound like a solid bet to many of you, but at this point, it's really all we have left." :)

Hilda Martinez, you're doing a good job speaking for me. Thanks, that about sums up my understanding of most of what I do here. And slomo, I like what you say about predation and cooperation. Perhaps it's more accurate to describe most actors and actions in those terms rather than calling them "evil" or "good."

I agree with Jeff that "predation" and "cooperation" may be more accurate than "evil" and "good," in my mind it still adds up to a duality. I bristle at the words "it's all relative" because it isn't. I'll allow the possibility of a Third Quality, or even 1/3.14etc, which may by its nature be . . . elusive. But saying it's all relative is only the rationalization of the Perpetrator. Yeah, I said it, whatcha gonna do about it.

starroute, what you said about "diving into the unkown," I've been reading Michael Meade lately and I think it's true that we go to find treasure, but some of us lose our heads in the process . . .

But saying it's all relative is only the rationalization of the Perpetrator.

In a sense.

From the Creator's perspective (if there even is such a Being) it really is all relative, and there ain't much you or I can do about that.

However, as human beings, we cannot exactly operate with such a perspective. We have to make a choice about what game we're going to play and with whom we're going to play it.

Fine, choose "freedom", and label your opponents "perps". Freedom for whom? Your "perps" want freedom too, but to them that means limiting yours.

I'm not advocating a position of helplessless or moral relativity. Quite the opposite. I'm advocating mindfulness and clarity in our choices, and an awareness that the game is much much larger than we human beings can imagine, even if it is our duty to play our part well.

As a nice compact mythology that illustrates my last point, I offer Tolkien's cosmogony of Middle Earth. It's not particularly original, nor does it purport to describe "our" universe, but nevertheless it's a good example of what I mean when I suggest that, to the Creator, it's all good, even if to the rest of us, much of it can be quite bad.

a couple thoughts.. by considering the dark web that is behind everything as a contentless void, the game 'they' play is allowed to flourish.

and by having a fight between political left and political right, reminds me of ghandi's quote 'an for an eye makes the whole world blind'

it makes you think, does not joining the game let you win?. but if you arn't in the game you don't get to affect it very much. funnily enough.

the dark matter. its there but is almost inherently invisible. it is opposite to light matter. there is a distinction made here, but the truth is all is one. each owes itself to the other to exist.

bah i dunno what i'm trying to say, but dark matter is as much a part of the system as light matter is. to understand the system you must understand both. as well as the event horizon beween the 2.

Altho it didn't occur in the US, it might be well to mention that 1947 was also the year that the Gnostic gospels were finally dug up in Nag Hammadi and, according to Philip K. Dick, the plasmate was re-released into the earth realm, and thence into human psyche. By any estimation, 1947 was indeed the breakthrough year for "congress of inorganic entities with mankind" and hence the corresponding need for "human" (reptoid?) agencies to up the ante on information control and retrieval. The "dark forces" of consciousness control had no other option besides the access and interception of the new flux of information-energy, and by this means they set about to create a rough (and extremely ready) surrogate with which to "deceive the elect," never mind the Mass.

It may be that,as Dick proposed, the entirety of human history is nothing less than the spell cast upon earth consciounsess by which it can "protect" itself from the apocalyptic revelations of the plasmate. This is exactly why history as such is now at an end, since the incubation period is over, the chrysalis of deceit due to crack open. The Babalon working is now all but complete, and Lucifer (the serpent goddess of kundalini) is on the rise.

I notice in many people today both a fascination with and unwillingness to acknowledge evil. In the tradition I follow (Vedanta) there is ultimately only this moment and one Being and good and evil are reconcilled within *That*. Yet each of us has not realized That (with very rare exceptions) and are living in the realm of duality and thus evil is for us very real and tangible. Evil is something we must oppose and by opposing gain enough strength to realize Self (Atman/God). To say that evil and good are relative to one's position on the food chain is overly abstract since we are on *this* food chain right here.

Correction to the above: in fact it was the Dead Sea scrolls that were found in 1947, the nag hammadi stuff in '45, tho it was not translated until '47.
Excerpt from LUCID VIEW:

According to paranoid awareness, the watershed year of secret ET history is 1947, though a more in-depth search of the “data” suggests that actual, large-scale interaction began—at the higher levels of government—some decades earlier. Several key events occurred in 1947, however, that mark the year forever in the annals of paranoid awareness. Firstly, there was the sorcery rite known as “the Babalon Working,” an elaborate ritual in “Enochian” magik conceived by rocket scientist John Whiteside Parsons and his associate L. Ron Hubbard in order to establish relations with “the other side.” (Both Parsons and Hubbard belonged to Crowley’s O.T.O California Lodge at the time and were followers of Uncle Al, who died in December that same year.) The general aim of the Babalon Working was to establish a new relationship between the terrestrial and elemental realms, and to usher in a hitherto unprecedented ingress from the Imaginal world to the actual. In the paranoid’s terminology, a rent was torn in the fabric of space-time, creating an “interdimensional doorway” through which “the Old Ones” might “once more walk the Earth.”
(According to Grant, the ritual “threw off a tangential loop which pulled into the sphere of the Double Current (ie the Double Current formed by Horus/Maat, known technically as 93/696) the direct radiations of the Mauve Zone by incarnating an elemental that was to open a gate which had remained sealed since the Aeon of Azyn.” Hectae’s Fountain.)

And as the Serpent Goddess Kundalini/Babalon came crashing down from the skies, with a roar of thunder and a flash of lightning—at least according to the occult-paranoid teachings expounded by Grant—the Earth came wholly under the dominion of “Set-Aiwaz.” Paranoid awareness is quick to cite all the things that began in 1947, and all those that ended, and indeed a whole chapter could be devoted to this year alone. For starters: the dead sea scrolls are found. Two years earlier the Nag Hammaddi codexes were also unearthed, and we refer again in passing to Philip K. Dick’s theory about the release of the “plasmate seeking out new human hosts to crossbond with. . . . As living information, the plasmate travels up the optic nerve of a human to the pineal body. It uses the human brain as a female host in which to replicate itself into active form. This is interspecies symbiosis. . . We call the plasmate ‘the Holy Spirit’...” (Valis) According to Jack Parsons and the Fall of Babalon, by Paul Rydeen, “Dick says the Paraclete (plasmate) awoke from its slumber when the translation of these documents began a couple of years later.” Also in 1947, Israel is founded as a nation thanks to Hitler and the forced exodus of the Jews from Europe; the transistor is “invented”; the sound barrier is broken; the CIA is formed—via “Operation Paperclip” from the OSS and Nazi spy apparati—the National Security Act is passed; Aleister Crowley dies, 1st December.)

Whether Parsons and Hubbard (working under Crowley, but without his approval) succeeded in evoking Babalon, and thereby invoking the “Ufo” or Kundalini force within themselves and—by extension—within humanity as a whole, is unwritten in the history books. The descent of the goddess was acknowledged exoterically, however, by the symbolic UFO crash-and-retrievals which occurred throughout the globe (most particularly in the US) during the following five years (1947-52). Apparently this was the manner in which the Imaginal force of the Ufo actualized itself in the public consciousness; simultaneously, in paranoid awareness, “it” (alien intelligence) infiltrated the highest levels of the world government. Babalon, according to Grant, symbolizes: “‘the gate of the sun,’ or solar-phallic force . . . a representative of the Feminine Principle or Scarlet Woman chosen for her magical ability to transmit the solar current.” (Hecate’s Fountain) The fate of Parsons himself might well be the best testimony of all to the “success” of his infernal summoning: he was burned to death in his laboratory several years later.

To this 1947 compilation of the beginnings of strangeness in modern america, I think the high strangeness of William Branham should be noted, for it was 1947 in which he began his ministry. I count Branham as a shaman who interpreted his world thru the Christ of neo-pentecostalism.
His impact was huge, and the details of the ministry are beyond the normal "slain in the spirit" type of ministries now in abundance.
Of course the phenomena ended when he died in 1965, but it is certainly of note when discussing the beginnings of high strangeness in modern America dating in particular from the year 1947.
That he was a "bible-thumper" makes the account of his life and ministry no less a candidate for the High Strangeness club, and the detailed accounts should be interpreted in the same vein as that in which we grapple with the meaning of ufos, crop circles, fortean anomalies, or any other perplexing phenomena.
The "official" site for Branham is here: http://www.bibleway.org/wmb/

You know, I've been reading murmurs about pedophilia in power circles for many years. Whenever I read about it, it seems dressed up with a lot of supernatural "Satanism" fluff. While I don't reject it, I think there might be a much more mundane, rational, and probable explanation.

Step 1: Get powerful political and business leaders into a lifestyle of hard drugs, prostitution, pedophilia, masochism, etc.

Step 2: Blackmail them.

Step 3: Profit!

In other words, I think the purpose of these illicit sex rings for politicos (of both parties) could be to *control them*. They're the perps, but in a way they're also the targets/victims. They could even be doing it to each other-- there could be this kind of fraternity of mutual blackmail going on. It would have the effect of allowing them to play power games while at the same time preventing any of them from truly breaking ranks or having a "change of heart."

I sorta dislike dressing up things like the Nazis, corrupt politicos, etc. with (to me) glitzy and scary things like occult super powers. In a way it makes them look more interesting and sophisticated than they really are; it glamorizes them.

They're really pretty boring. A nasty old crusty sociopath club. They're not superhuman. They make mistakes. They can be played off each other, tricked, and taken down.

My head is spinning, and speaking of the red pill, it is as though part of me can't stop reading this, and the other screams to stop and turn on a nice Football game.

In the end, are some made to be eaten, and some made to eat? Are some made to 'see' the entree' and others to be the entree'?
Can we love being eaten, and love to eat?
As long as we 'see' the wonder and magick of the whole 'main course'?
And in the end, *who*

is the Chef?

1947 becomes all the more meaningful after studying a little tetrahedral hyperdimensional physics wherein the numbers 19.47 and 33.3 (33 anyone?) factor very, very heavily.

To speak of the Paperclip Nazis which founded our space program, you may also wish to peruse the Table of Coincidence relating to this "sacred geometry" and NASA Egyptian/Sumerian (read "Freemasonic") ritual behavior through the history of the U.S. Space Program.

Having your mind blown can get very addictive. Try to feed this addiction every day, and I assure you the darkness will eventually recede into brave, informed optimism.

And if you still haven't done so, check out orgonite and start doing something about all this mess, k? :-)

Agent Jackson, thanks for the feedback. It's always great when others find my comments helpful, and it's great to be part of a fruitful dialogue.

I'd like to add to what I said above, especially in response to some of the later comments. First, I think it's important to remember that both predation and cooperation are an integral part of our universe. This universe can't exist without predation. (Whether this is the best possible universe is an different matter entirely).

In response to Christopher's comment:

I notice in many people today both a fascination with and unwillingness to acknowledge evil. In the tradition I follow (Vedanta) there is ultimately only this moment and one Being and good and evil are reconcilled within *That*. Yet each of us has not realized That (with very rare exceptions) and are living in the realm of duality and thus evil is for us very real and tangible. Evil is something we must oppose and by opposing gain enough strength to realize Self (Atman/God). To say that evil and good are relative to one's position on the food chain is overly abstract since we are on *this* food chain right here.

I am not ignoring the problem of evil, and I think I'm making essentially your same point in my 1:04 PM post. However, part of the realization of Self is an appreciation of the "larger perspective" in which good and evil are relative at the cosmological level. That fact does not absolve us from countering evil, although it may help us discern what, exactly, is "evil" in relation to the role we are playing in this lifetime.

STOP EATING MEAT.

I don't know... On the one hand, I'm inclined to agree, since one of my best and closest friends is a non-human mammal (my dog). One the other hand, my dog requires meat for survival. And, it appears that the human mammal requires at least some meat for general physical well-being.

Of course, I could choose to eat only poultry and fish, but given what I know about modern methods of food-production (e.g. CAFO's) I suspect that cows have a better/freer life than factory chickens, so it may be less sinful to eat cow than chicken.

As it stands, I almost always will choose fish over chicken or beef, but go back and forth between chicken and beef, and I never eat pig (both because of the inhumane treatment of pigs receive in CAFO's and because pigs are at least as smart as dogs, and my dog is essentially a person in my opinion).

I'm rambling... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm quite uncomfortable with my role as a predator, but I don't really see an honest way out that isn't also a form of suicide. And I'm not ready yet for that kind of self-sacrifice.

slomo: bing!
During this longtime pursuit (obsessive and ritious) of the activities and intentions of the 'predators' or 'adversary', I've noticed that for some who would not know: their avoidance seems to render their alignment conditional and fragile. In attempting to 'share', I feel destructive.
However, others don't seem to be denying, so much as aligning in a (for them) more enlivening focus. With them, I feel darkly obsessive.
Currently, I don't abandon the watching, and must not avoid the imperative to 'rise above'.
And that's the way it is...

I did not know where to post this but this blog seemed to me to be the only place where some of you may be able to explain to me what is going on in the following.

On new years eve, just a short while after midnight, I was surfing around some of the news sites. At CNN.com, something about the photo they used as their main front page photo seemed odd to me. I have worked a lot with photo's, photo editing and manipulation in the past, so I tend to recognize it in other photos.

I took a screen grab of the front page, and resized the photo part in photoshop so I could get a better look. I put the images, along with others I took that night from other news web sites, here:
http://blake.prohosting.com/wolfflow/

The first thing that struck me was how staged the photos looked, especially the CNN and MSNBC ones. But it was more than just the staging or manipulation of photos that struck me. The photos seemed to be conveying a message of some sort. To who, I don't know. What the message is, I am unsure. But the photos had a sinister air about them.

There are so many oddities and weirdnesses in these photos (at least in my opinion) that I couldn't possibly go into all of them, but just let me mention a few.

In the first CNN photo, when you look at the blown-up version, rather than a new years eve, the people seem to be rapturing at something in the sky. And at the apex of the triangle formed by the "Times Square" guy's right arm and the black sleeve of a crowd member, toward the center of the photo, is the palm of a hand, palm facing the camera. Scrolling down to the MSNBC photo you will notice a palm facing the camera in the center of the photo again. That seemed odd to me.

Notice on the left of the photo how prominent the Kodak symbol is, and how just below and to the left of that the hand clearly echos the "K" shape of the symbol..

In the second CNN front page, screen grabbed a bit later in the night, what struck me initially about this photo was the odd pairing in the front. Who the hell is that old bearded guy, with the sparkley shirt and jewelry on? And who is this young sailor looking guy with his arm around the old dude? And if you look to the left, who is that hideous creature looking up to the skies with an outstretched out sized arm? This entire photo appears to be a montage.

In the MSNBC front page photo, that figure on the left is clearly meant to represent the people of the states, as they hand over some deformed stars and stripes shape to the gloved hand reaching in from the bottom right.

In some ways this is the most interesting of the photos and very clearly is meant to be read as comprised of two halves split down the middle along that background column of light and the palm. The spikiness of the statue of liberty shape on the left is mirrored in the star of the Toys-R-Us sign on the right. Below the star are two interesting figures. Connected to the star is what seems to be a woman, wearing something like a kippah or yarmulke (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarmulke). She looks over with a knowing look at the statue of liberty guy on the left. And another interesting thing seems to be the glasses of the other figure you can see: the last digit of his "2006" glasses seems to have been messed with, making it an ambiguous 6 or 8, i.e., 2006 or 2008.

One final thing I wanted to mention. In the final photo, the blowup of the FOXNEWS.com front page photo, if you look toward the top right, on what is meant to be some billboard I guess, something is going on in that area but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Take a look and let me know what you think. I did not alter these photos in any way other than to resize them. And if you have anything that will help me to understand what these photos are about and you can't post it here, send it to motionpool (at) gmail (dot) com.

Motionpool, interesting pics, to be sure. My interpretation of the MSNBC image with the statue of liberty grimacing male, is that the hand in the lower right corner is "afflicting" the US symbol with snake/worm-like entities that have taken on the appearance of patriotism, and the hand seems to be part of the (kabbalah?) woman who "knows", all being "blessed" by the figure in 2006, or is it 2008? glasses. A very strange image indeed.

Are you serious? Do you know how many vegetarians there are in the world? How many have lived into their 80's and 90's?

You don't need animal flesh to survive.
You are choosing to be a predator.

I have asked some other people about them and on the whole people were mostly dismissive of what I brought up.

However, I still stand by what I have said: there is something sinister about these photos, and definitely some sort of signaling is taking place. The CNN photos, and the MSNBC one are almost blatant in their "freemasonry" (I am taking the palm facing the camera in the center in 2 photos to be a freemasonic symbol or sign. It is just too weird.

If you can shed some light on what is going on feel free to email me at motionpool (at) gmail (do.t) com
